Vodacom Secret Way to ***** Airtime
I have been using Vodacom network and spending in excess of R600 per month as a prepaid customer. However, I would recharge my account and convert some of the airtime to data but to my dismay I would try make a call and find the voice mail "Please recharge your account..." In just last month I lost R400 when I discovered this secret way vodacom subscribe me to the WASPs. I called and complained to the customer care and the operator told me she would unsubscribe me. I received a confirming message that I unsubscribed but as soon as i loaded airtime then my airtime would disappear. I would be subscribed to same WASPs as soon as they were disabled. These subscriptions would take place at 1:08 am. The common ones are called #Game2Up, #AccesLiveServices, and Dreamy Girls. I tried to use the STOP ALL option 30333 or 35050 but they are unhelpful. How does Vodacom benefit in these dealings? When I loose my airtime, I am forced to buy airtime so they are selling more airtime. They are probably receiving a revenue from these services and that is why they allow them to debit my sim card without my permission. Calling Vodacom Customer Care is just like talking to a machine which is a waste of time and breath. Customer Care is horrible care by Vodacom. The easiest is quit the Vodacom Network and look for a better operator. In my thinking is how many R5, R7 and R10/day South Africans are loosing and there is no way one can be compensated.
Maybe this will require EFF because they seem to be the only party which is concerned about the people's concerns and not Vodacom. How many South Africans are ********** by these services called (WASPs)?
