Vodacom ********

Good day, I am deeply disappointed with Vodacom for the mere fact that they are unaware that people are making use of the mega shakes/ Vodacom unlock features to **** old people. My mother who is off age has been ****med by 'Vodacom' where they've informed her on the 04 January and 05 January 2022 that she has won a prize because of she made use of the Mega shake features and unlock feature. Therefore she has won a brand new cellphone and R20K. However before she can claim her prize something about her top up or something needs to be 100% and she needs to pay an amount of R1500 in at her nearest pep or absa bank, which will be donated to a charity of her choice. She can make use of her details to send the money. Because my mother is quite old she did not think that it could be a **** and did as she was told as they have bee phoning her throughout the course of the day. She sent the R1500 received the pin and to her surprise when she got to Vodacom they told her there is nothing they can do as she was ****med. My Question to Vodacom is how can you (such a big company) not be aware that your customers are being ****med. That the ******** are taking advantage of the senior citizens. How are you going to handle this matter as it is that my mom took her last money to that she had to 'claim her prize' and she got ****med. I would really appreciate feedback and advise as this is unacceptable. How many senior citizens has been ****med through this.
