VODACOM SAMSUNG A7 2017
I took a contract with Vodacom March 2017, Samsung A7 2017, this device is still under warranty. On Sunday 12 Aug 2018, this device started losing signal, when I tried to opened the device, sim tray (broke) did not come out. I took the device for repairs on 13 Aug 2018, I explained what had happened to one of the ladies at store. Device was booked in!
On 14 Aug 2018, received an SMS "Vodacom Repairs job no. ********** 4 repair cost R 3,414.87. Please contact Vodacom Repairs Tygervalley ********** 922 within 2 days to accept/decline the quote". I declined the quote, because this device has got warranty!
I enquired from the repair centre, the lady who picked up the phone was very rude, not customer friendly! She told me "Your device board is faulty hence it was losing signal". My question was "Who is liable for the costs?" Basically she told me I can take this to Samsung and Vodacom, on her side she can not help. SHE WAS RUDE!!!
