Vodacom *****s over the familiy of deceased customers with pride -Episode 3.

My mother has passed away on 25 September 2021. After enquiring with the local Vodacom shops on the process to stop her mobile account, we were directed to email ***********. We did this on 29 September 2021, send the number **********), My mother's ID and Death certificate as proof. We asked for confirmation as well. No reply was received. We have however set the Read receipt option and got a reply that the email was opened on 2 October 2021. Up to now no response was received to confirm the request. The monthly subscription is still going off the account and we can't stop it since it is a debit order. Since we have now followed process and Vodacom has not closed down and payed back the money, this constitutes *****, We will take legal council to our our next steps against Vodacom. The fact that this happens show that Vodacom's company value and ethics is non existing. We are dealing with the loss of a mother and now have to struggle with administrative mess purely because Vodacom seems to be to greedy to stop the account.

Vodacom phoned on 17 Feb with another promise that the dept dealing with deceased will contact me. Nothing happened up to today. Pathetic service from Vodacom seems to be the only thing they excel in.

On the 22 February Vodacom mailed to confirm that they will stop the debit order and pay back the money taken without permission within 8 days.

I just got confirmation that the debit order went of on my deceased mother's bank account and now caused a overdraught, since we can't close it due to the debit order.

Vodacom has yet again excelled in ********** behaviour and failed promises. I will unfortunately now start a active media campaign making VERY sure that the public is informed of the ********** behaviour and ********* way vodacom runs their business.
