Vodacom's non-existent customer service

My vodacom number has been inactive for two weeks (16 days to be specific), this is after my data contract finished and i had requested them to change my number back to pre-paid.

Upon my realisation that the number had'nt been operational, i then called Vodacom's customer care call centre on Tuesday(1st of November) to which a consultant informed me that it would take approximately 24 hours to resolve the matter and i obliged.

After the adviced 24 hours(2nd Nov) the number was still not operational. I called customer services again and this time I spoke to a lady who introduced herself as Vuyo and informed me that she will synchronise the number and it shall be operational within 5 hours. ---Order #:1- ********** 5811

(3rd Nov): I called Vodacom again and this time I was informed that my number had been transfered to Pre-Legal department. I was then transfered to this particular department and i spoke to an agent called Phinda Majola who promised to have resolved the problem and also informed me that it should be resolved within 24 hours.

(4th Nov): I called customer service to complete the process and i was again refered to pre-Legal where i spoke to Andiswa(cape town) who gave me the same assurances provided by the previous agent.

(5th Nov): I went to a vodacom store at Forest Hill city Mall and I was assisted by a service consultant who also said the only thing he could do was synchronise the number, which would also take another 24 hours.

(7th to 10th Nov): I called Vodacom numerous times for assistance between these days and I was sent from pillar to post (One department tranfering me to the other and back).

****h Nov): On friday I went to Vodacom Menlyn mall and a service consultant there also couldn't resolve my issue. He then escalated the issue to a support specialist. --Ref #: 1- ********** 5042.

I was once again promised that the SLA for call resolution is 24 hours, It has now been more than 48 hours and my problem still persists.

****DISATISFACTION TO THE LAST DEGREE****
