Vodacom's ***** Repair Dealings

Being an owner of an Iphone 6, I took my phone into Vodacom's repair centre via their Gateway service store two weeks ago. I am now finding it very hard & ***** at how I am supposed to believe & comprehend how Vodacom are now trying to get me to purchase a new handset for is very obviously a software problem. Everyone I know including myself who owns an Iphone 6 has been complaining about a 'freezing screen', where after inquiries and similar repair issuing through Apple, as done myself with Vodacom, others have been correctly advised that this is due to a software issue with Apple. Vodacom however are very oddly now informing me that My issue is due to a visible crack inside my phone which is causing the freezing that is happening, similar to all other Iphone 6 phones, and that I now have to purchase a new handset for R4000 or my phone will be returned having not been fixed. I have seen Iphone's with very evident cracks on screens where users are still very able to use their phones without any problem.

I smell a rat Vodacom and I am not buying it!! I would like the software issue on my phone resolved and my phone returned to me in a useable condition. Job no:***3
