Vodacom ruins your day every day you interact with them

I have been in contact with Vodacom since August in an attempt to upgrade my account. Since then I have probably attempted to call the customer service line 70+ times of which I have had answers 20 times. 10 of the 20 the call just dropped for no reason. 5 times there was a discussion I was simply not helped, I was told that the service in question is not available. Of the remaining 5 times I was told on every occasion that I will receive a call back the next day. The first time around I was told that I will be placed on a call back to receive the new devices when they become available, just to find that they were out of stock when I eventually called again. I am yet to receive any call from Vodacom. Even after 4x 0/10 customer service ratings I have not received a customer satisfaction call. I tried following up with the specific clients, but you are not allowed to be transferred to another agent. Supposedly they are not allowed to call you back unless there are no calls on the lines (so never). I tried being transferred to a manager, but that isn't allowed either, and as you can imagine, the manager(s) wasn't calling me back.

Yesterday, after finally giving up on Vodacom, after 18 years (no special deals, always paid the list price, never missed a bill, had some very profitable ones during travel), I tried to cancel my contract. When I tried to cancel I was hung up on...twice.

If I don't get help from a Vodacom rep, I may need to give instruction to the bank to stop the debit order, which puts me at risk of getting blacklisted. But honestly at this point Telkom seems like a better idea.

So about that callback?

Now that you have gotten your quick reply in so that you don't look unresponsive, are you still going to contact me? Your offices are now closed for the day so I assume its not today?

Whats your plan on contacting me? Email, phone, whatsapp?

To be honest I am not surprised, you didn't call me back the first 5 times, why are you going to do it now?

I have received absolutely **** service from Vodacom. There is no such thing as client service in your company. I was eventually called after several days of pursuing the situation myself, after which I was informed that the device I want can be ordered from a shop. However, the shop can't put it in a contract. The call in line can make up a contract for me but can't order devices...because that makes sense.

So after several weeks of misleading me, and just being inadequate, I conceded and settled for a lesser product. I was told that my new device would be delivered in 5 -7 working days. On day 8 I called to follow-up where my device is just to find out that my upgrade was cancel. Is this a joke?

How can your company not get literally one thing right? I have not done a single thing with your company and had it resolved. Not late, or badly or not to my satisfaction, just not resolved at all! How are you so bad at everything?
