Vodacom router battery .

We have a 2 year WIFI contract with Vodacom ,expires Oct 2021 with a Vodacom router. Noticed today that the battery of the router had swollen and seperated the two halves of the router . Took it to Vodacom Springs Mall ,showed them the swollen router and was told they do not stock batteries ,and was directed to the cell shops .Each one said they did not have that type of battery .The last cell shop said they did not have a similar battery ,but could assist me. They dismantled the router completely , adapted a flat cell type battery and the router now works. I went back to Vodacom , was again directed to the cell shops. Saw a technician and he told me that the router should have been booked in for repair and a new batterywould have been fitted . Now that the "Pakistanis " had fitted another type of battery the router would now not be accepted for repair .I told him that it was Vodacom who sent me to the cell shops ,and was told that that person was a casual employee . So I now sit with a *******ised router that works until the battery runs out , then looks like I will have to return to the cell shop that sortef it out today ,as Vodacom will not be interested in assisting.
