We had 4 Vodacom mobile contracts which expired in November 2020, in October 2020 my husband called and had them completely cancelled. The consultant confirmed they have been done. We then took 3 laptop contracts @R170 per month each and a month later took uncapped fibre with them at R649pm. The lady at Westwood Mall gave us a document stating they are giving us 100GB data "free" to use until they come and connect the fibre line. 3 to 4 days later the courier company was here with the "100GB free" data. Within the next 14 days a gy came through and connected the fibre and took away the modem and all accessories that came with the "free 100 GB" data. These 4 contracts make the total payment due to Vodacom every month R1159. Last month Vodacome attempted to debit the account for over R2000. My husband called them and they corrected the account and then gave a bill for R 1924.41 due by 3 March 2021. Another point I need to point out is when the lady at Westwood Mall Vodacom printed out the documents and gave me, I did not notice at the time, the space for the date was empty, this allows them to fabricate a new date as they then claimed the "free data " is only for 30 days, thereafter it's R 564.35 recurring till installation and they miraculously are unable to locate the call records for the call my husband made in October 2020 to have the accounts that were expiring in November cancelled. The consultants refuse to give their full names saying its recorded but that is obviously only for their benefits and these so called "recording" can disappear as if never existed or the call/conversation never happened. Even after sending a corrected bill with the amount of R1924.41 due on 3 March 2021, they still tried to debit the account for R 5059. I don't leave money over the debit amounts in the account because of companies like Vodacom who take extra money and then we have a problem having our money returned to us. The large incorrect amount Vodacom tried to debit bounced back and due to that the bank now charged R110 for failed debit order. So not only does Vodacom make money should they mange to get an account whereby they can successfully debit any amount but the bank makes R110 just because the debit went unpaid.
