Vodacom Ripping Uncapped Internet People OFF.
Hi, So as of 15-02-2023 it seems all that has an internet uncapped Vodacom plan now has a capped internet which is not morally ethical, since we pay for a Uncapped account and not a capped account. see below.
10Mbps tariff Speeds up to 10Mbps for usage from 0-400GB Usage from 400GB to 600GB, will be at a speed up to 2Mbps From 600GB, hard lock imposed
20Mbps tariff Speeds up to 20Mbps for usage from 0-600GB Usage from 600GB to 800GB, will be at a speed up to 2Mbps From 800GB, hard lock imposed
30Mbps tariff Speeds up to 30Mbps for usage from 0-700GB Usage from 700GB to 1TB, will be at a speed up to 2Mbps From 1TB, hard lock imposed
Now my question is, how did they manage to get away with this? this is not uncapped anymore so therefore either ask your clients if they still want to continue with their contracts or should you cancel it without any extra charges. You cannot just change the uncapped to an capped account and expect that people will accept that now they paying uncapped data Prices for a capped account. I am quite outraged by this and would gladly take you to court for bridge of contract, I was fine with the FUP of 700GB which from the start said it is not a true uncapped account but now you want to charge me R829 a month for a capped account where i can easily go to MTN get better speeds and better internet for same or less and the contract i originally signed was for R799 a month. Please sort this out or get in touch with me to cancel the contract with no extra costs or fix your stupid idea.
PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME TO SORT THIS OUT OR CANCEL WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL FEES, I HAVE MY WORK LAWERS ON STANDBY FOR THIS.
Dear Customer, Thank you for the time and effort taken to voice your dissatisfaction to our office. It is with the cooperation and feedback from valued clients such as yourself that we are able to identify any areas of improvement within our organisation. The Home Internet LTE Uncapped tariffs currently allow customers to continue consuming data after exceeding their plan FUP(Fair Usage Policy), at a throttled speed (Soft Cap FUP). Once the customer reaches their Soft Cap FUP, they are still able to continue using data. From the end of February 2023 to the beginning of March 2023, customers will no longer be able to continue using their Home Internet Plan if they exceed their Soft Cap FUP.
