Vodacom ripoff

I am writing on behalf of my wife who had a terrible customer experience with Vodacom. In short a Vodacom agent phoned her to offer her a data 5G data package for R299. Which she innocently accepted. We subsequently found out that Cell C was offering the same package for R99. When my wife phoned Vodacom to complain re this she was shunted from pillar to post. Eventually she was **** to and told that the R299 package offered was for an 80G package. This is nonsense. As Cell C was consulted re a new Samsung phone and data package and my wife wanted to cancel her contact with Vodacom they then offered her a similar package as Cell C but slightly reduced which my wife accepted. When the new phone arrived my wife went into Vodacom Clearwater to have her info from the old phone transferred to the new phone she was charged R 150 for this service plus R 65 for a new sim. Last month I also obtained a new phone from Cell C and was not charged anything to have my data transferred. When I queried this with the assistant at Vodacom Clearwater he told me that they were charging for this service as other service providers were sending their customers there to have their date transferred. I was furious and told them that their customers should not be penalised because of this and it should be a free service for existing customers. This is a clear ******* as other service providers do not charge for this service.
