Vodacom rewards miss-selling
I recently wrote a review regarding a contract upgrade done telephonically by Vodacom Rewards. When I tried to upgrade my contract at the end of last year I found that my contact had already been upgraded over the phone for 2 years. I disputed this and Vodacom found in my favour after listening to the recording - while I agreed to the terms I was misled by the sales agent to believe that my contract would be renewed on a month to month basis. So Vodacom’s own conclusion was that I was miss-sold the contract. Vodacom then failed to act on this conclusion - I had to phone in again to have the upgrade reversed and was told it would take 2-3 working days. I insisted that I was a very unhappy customer and requested it to be rushed. Today is working day 4 and I have been told that it has not been actioned and will take up to 5 working days. This is totally unacceptable. It’s taken me 2 months of fighting and investigation, only to find out that Vodacom miss-sold me a contact and then did nothing about it. There has been no attempt to apologise or to retain me as a customer. My conclusion is that Vodacom does not value its customers and should you be **** to in the sales process they will do nothing to correct or remediate it. The brand is permanently tarnished in my eyes. I will cancel my contract and go to a competitor.
