Vodacom review after contact +1 star for effort
Deleted my old 1 star review, i was called by their hello peter team and yes it was already to late and the contract was cancelled the Rep was polite and the actual issue was on Skynets side, but they cant be absolved of all responsibility leaving the customer to spend money, time and effort to resolve the issue them selves, remember the phone is not mine till i have it, i spent money trying to get your phone, all this because of an sms not sent, which i had to figure out all by myself
customer care is pointless the amount of times they transferred me to skynet without warning just because my package was with them was about 11 times, not i will transfer you... just please hold and boom im 38 in queue at skynet and the sassy Ladies that thought they knew better than me after iv spent 3 days getting to the bottom of the issue... you were all wrong maybe take a minute to listen iv already done 90% of your job I was an easy ticket
only once I decided im done im cancelling did the nicest of all the customer care ladies transfer me to after sales support... why was this not done the other 23 times i called i spoke to a gentleman who was desperate to not have me cancel as it should be, we agreed on the process and we agreed that skynet was the cause of my headache he emailed they didnt reply, i did my part as well i called these people at skynet i had the line dropped on my ear a few times and i was never rude or hostile they just were not in the mood to deal with my issue, i called over 20 times i have call logs as proof, over half the time they told me i need an sms verification from vodacom, vodacom didnt have a clue what they were talking about but turns out vodacom were correct skynet were the ones that needed to send the sms, once i had that info i called maybe another 11 times trying to get this sms even used their whatsapp help where they confirmed my number and said i will receive it shortly, never got it... again not something a customer should be doing as remember its not my phone its yours.
last little piece of advise your packages feel like a **** my contract would of been R769pm of which R370pm was for the contract which was for 100 minutes and 1.4GB data then 1,4GB after midnight what is that... im an adult with a job as are 99.9% of your clients im not awake to use that and if i am im home with wifi maybe im not the right target market but thats the only package you have.
my new Telkom contract
R599pm Iphone 15 128GB 500min Telkom to Telkom calls (me and wife are both Telkom this is great) 75min any network 2GB data 500sms
this is the cheapest plan they offer this is perfect for most people you have priced your self out the market your closest contract is R769 for less, im currently with Telkom and maybe im lucky but iv never had issues i only went through vodacom because of stock which is now resolved
I cancelled because this was my 1st experience with vodacom this was me trying to get the device, it made me think about what happens down the line when/if i have an issue how would i be treated, your sales team work their butts off only to be faulted by your delivery system/business practices and customer care
i dont need a call back but you need to reevaluate your system
