Vodacom "retentions" department employs bullies who actually encourages you to LEAVE hahaha - how ironic!

I have tried and failed numerous times to cancel an OLD Data Sim that expired in 2011 already....and still being billed monthly even though i no longer have the sim (been ****** years ago). Last (26 April 2017) week i managed to speak to Moeder Ma***oe at the Vodacom Retentions department ( ********** ) who said to first settle the outstanding bill then CALL BACK once settled cancel the contract. So last week - as reluctant as I was to pay for something i no longer own - i settled the account. I called back today and spoke to a different "retentions" agent named Lesego (who refused to give me her surname). she confirmed that she actioned the cancellation now BUT i would be billed one more time for THIS CURRENT MONTH then only the account will be closed. When i tried to explain to her that that was NOT what was agreed and what exactly what i had tried to prevent by called last week already, she was quite rude and arrogant and interrupted me continuously. repeatedly telling me that thats the process and that's just how it works and i should have called last week. the more i tried to explain the less she listened. wheni told her that she is now resulting in me wanting to cancel my cellphone contract as well she laughed it off and basically told me that she deals with clients all the time and if i so wish to close my account then thats my choice and should do it. RUDE and ARROGANT A$$ working in "retentions"....really Vodacom??....i know i'm but a drop in the ocean of clients to you dear Vodacom but you can thank Lesego in Customer RETENTIONS department for losing me as a loyal client for many years. Go and listen to the call and then teach that girl some manners. Call reference number is ********** ********** 1. Date: 03 May 2017 at 14h31 (call duration 12min 42sec).

Some more points to listen out for.....

me trying to explain that i called last week (BEFORE month end).

me asking to speak to someone else and then arrogantly being told NO because they will tell me the same as what she (Lesego) is telling me.

me asking for an email address or a diret number i can call to send proof of previous attempts of trying to cancel the same damn old account.....to which her response was to call back to them THEN only will i get the email address.

and being told by Lesego no matter what i do I just will pay this month's and only then will it be cancelled.

and the list goes on and on....

No man, seriously Vodacom!! Is this really how you try to "retain" clients by employing bullies in your Customer Retentions Department?
