Vodacom Repairs and Service - at it again fullblast!

Vodacom at it again!I have an Iphone 7 and requested a repair since I have been having issues shortly after the warranty expired( I have 7 off in the family ) , so be it and send it for a quotation for repair and a response received within one day and constant updates. The cost for the repair was R653.00 to replace the battery and approved it immediately by SMS and by Phonecall. 3 weeks later no battery and was advised that they will send it to Head office Jhb to repairs, to my dismay the cost now was R7700 for a refurbished model as they do not do batteries anymore and spoke to an extremely arrogant consultant when i stated my case, it is recorded so i have evidence. How is it possible that Vodacom shops can investigate /price and state the fault at a certain price and head office is different. Today after 6 weeks, my phone is back and Ifix will gladly replace the battery at R750 and have stock and yes i am aware if the warranty that Ifix offer but are in agreement.

Reviewer Update
Some feedback is that my problem was not resolved and are now facing a claim at my insurance for something that got damaged from the Repair centers, yes various repair centers. The history of this is long and has wasted 4 months time and a phone no longer working, I have requested numerous times that they sent me the jobcards that will proof what they found but are not willing to provide that. I quote "Please note below final technical report (dated 22/03/2018), there is nothing else that we can do to assist in this regard. The quotation has been rejected and the unit will be despatched today, to the store. Regrettably we do not arrange for door to door deliveries as the store needs to close the job on their side as well. Thank you. Kind regards, Lindiwe. Lindiwe, further this email I have responded and requested to see the reports from both Mossel Bay and your reports that stipulates the findings prior and after for me to act on this, if no reports are available I would assume that Vodacom will not honor my request and are not willing to assist and that I can take this matter to this next level. I do not except your quotation for repairs and therefor kindly arrange for the phone to be returned and below is our address for delivery ?" Good day Danie Kindly note that as per VODACOM REPAIRS MOSSELBAY, when your handset was booked in, you requested to be quoted for a batttery. The quote was generated then your accepted but there was no stock hence it was forwarded to us. We then quoted for a replacement because there was no stock of the batteries. That quote was rejected then the unit returned as it was. We did not work on your handset to have caused any damages. We did not even assess it as it was sent for a battery replacement, meaning there was no need for us to assess as the fault was known to the user. This unit is dead because the battery has given up, the battery life was already poor when you gave it us. We are not sure what transpired at I FIX, it is however company policy that if a phone was taken to an unauthorized repair centre we either return it as it is or we quote for replacement. Thank you. Kind regards, Lindiwe. Lindiwe, you are not understanding the situation fully , 1. I was aware that the warranty period has expired and was prepared to pay. 2. Therefor I booked it with Vodacom as an approved repair center and approved the quotation and was willing to pay for it. 3. It was in perfect working order except for the battery 4. You did not find the same fault as Mossel bay and are questioning this why this may be sent me the reports ? 5. Ifix - it is not under warranty and therefor you cannot put any claim against this fact - I could not finds joy with Vodacom so what should I do ? 6. Vodacom has made the damage to the perfectly working phone and this remains unresolved I do not agree that a replacement at my cost is justified as I still have not seen the report (requested earlier) for Job ********** 3 as that would state what the quote was based on for R653 received the first time
