Vodacom repair store bad service

A few month ago I send my cell phone (iPhone 6) for repairs at Vodacom repairs store in Canal walk. The problem with my phone was a cracked screen which I just wanted to be replaced however my phone was working perfectly fine with that cracked screen so a day later they called me informing me that due to the bend on my phone at the edge they can’t really replace the screen so they going to claim it to insurance.

I then called the insurance and they offered me an upgrade but I had to pay an excess fee of about R2800 which I wasn’t prepared to pay then I decided to go get my phone from Vodacom repairs only to find that my phone is no longer working it does not switch on or even charge, I then returned it to the store complaining that when I bought my phone to them it was perfectly working just wanted my screen to be replaced now am sitting with a dead phone that am paying every month but it’s not working. I was then told that my phone is beyond repairs and that there is nothing they can do and from my understanding it wasn’t beyond repairs when I booked it in with them the damage was just the screen.

I even tried getting help from the insurance but they showed no sign of assistance at all and I had to cancel the insurance. I am very upset because I am here with a phone that is not working but am paying it. I then send my phone to DigiCape it’s a store which offers expert advice and technical support for all Apple products. They then discovered that my mainboard of the phone has been changed that’s why my phone is not working and that the mainboard that they put in my phone is actually dead they discovered this because the IMEI No of my phone was not matching the mainboard inside my phone meaning that my mainboard has been changed. So am hoping that Hello Peter can assist me on this matter it’s been very difficult for me without a phone thank you for your time. Hope to hear from you very soon thanks.

Regards

Refilwe Moalosi
