Vodacom Repair Centre is USELESS.
So I dropped my iPhone 11. Screen cracked so badly that it would not do anything. It is insured luckily, so I took it to the Vodacom Repair Store in Cresta. Very friendly staff, and helpful. Was asked to remove the "Find my iPhone" This i did from a browser as my screen on the phone too cracked to work.
This happened on the 5th of February 2020. I got a SMS on the 7th of Febraury 2020 saying it is at the Advanced Repair Centre. And will be approximate 5 - 7 days. (Not working or week, just days) On the 17th of Febraury 2020(10 days since it was booked in, so already late but no biggy) I get a SMS that the phone has been dispatched. Today at 11h23 I get a SMS saying come collect the phone.
When I got to the store the lady got my phone from the back and told mne it was NOT repaired as the "Find phone" was active. This is not the case.....
So now I still have a broken phone, for which I pay a large amount of insurance for. And then Vodacom wants to book it in again for another "5 - 7 days"....
I CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT EITHER THEY DON'T HAVE PHONES AT THE REPAIR CENTRE OR TELKOM CUT THE LINES AS IN THE 10 DAYS THE PHONE WAS THERE, NO ONE BOTHERED TO CALL ME TO SAY THEY HAVE AN ISSUE. IT COULD OF BEEN SORTED... BUT NO WE AT VODACOM IN OUR INFINITE WISDOM THOUGHT IT BETTER TO SEND THE PHONE BACK STILL BROKEN... A + GUYS, WELL FREAKING DONE ON THAT THOUGHT PROCESS.... BIG OLD NODDY BADGE
Meantime I am without a smart phone that I need for my work. WHAT NOW VODACOM.....
This is totally unacceptable,
