Vodacom refusing to fix phone under warranty

I took my phone in for repairs on the weekend due to having a faulty screen with dead pixels. This has been an issue that my phone has been experiencing for probably about 7 or 8 months however I have not had the opportunity nor a back up phone to take it in for repairs.

In any case, I got contacted by Vodacom telling me that the charging port is broken, *something I have had no problems* with and that they will not do partial repairs to fix my screen only (which was my only issue).

Vodacom wants to charge me for the repair of something that is not broken and is apparently not covered by the warranty. This sounds like a **** to get out of fulfilling the warranty my phone is still under (this is something I have done research about and I am aware that dead pixels are 100% covered by the warranty) as well as get some extra money from me.

This is disgusting service and shows that Vodacom does not want to fulfill its promises and has no concern for customer care. Luckily this phone is reaching the end of its contract and needs renewal at the beginning of March however if this is the attitude of Vodacom and fulfilling its warranty of contract phones then I will not be renewing my contract and taking my business elsewhere.

Thanks for the terrible experience and proving to me that it is indeed time to leave Vodacom.
