Vodacom refusing to change my number to pay -as- you- go and cancelling the number.

My 24 month contract with Vodacom expired in Oct 2015 already, and I was being charged on a month to month basis by Vodacom - **********

· At the end of October 2016, I requested Vodacom Customer Service at ********** 4 to cancel my contract by Dec 1, and to release this number so I can port it to MTN.

· On Nov 18, I physically went to Vodacom Bredasdorp, to make sure that this cancellation was going to take place on Dec 1. The agent confirmed this fact on their system and assured me that on Dec 1, I will be able to port my number.

· On Dec 2, I signed a new cell phone contract with MTN and requested that they port my number from Vodacom.

· By Monday Dec, 5, MTN informed me that Vodacom refuses to release my number to them.

· I phoned Vodacom Cancellations on ********** and spoke to one of their agents. She confirmed that my contract should have been cancelled by Dec 1, but that Vodacom has failed to do this and apologised. While I endlessly held on for her to enter every single detail on their systems and assured me that she requested an immediate cancellation of my contract and that this will be done within hours of our conversation. I received an sms from Vodacom with ref no’s 1- ********** 62332 and 1- ********** 32231 at 10h12 to confirm this. And assured me I’m now on a pay-as-you-go basis and my number is free to be ported to MTN

· On Tuesday, Dec 6 my sim card stopped functioning – it showed “Sim not provisioned”. I contacted MTN to advise them of this but they informed me that Vodacom are still refusing their request, multiple by that stage, to port to MTN.

· The MTN agent, Hendrik @ MTN Bredasdorp, also contacted Vodacom from his side numerous times, but Vodacom Cape Town Regional informed that they have no knowledge that my contract has been cancelled.

· Vodacom has just cancelled my number so that it shows that this number does not exist at all. They also contacted Vodacom Bredasdorp but no they are unwilling to assist MTN either.

· On Wednesday, Dec 7, I personally went in to Vodacom Bredasdorp again, where Caroline assured me that she can sort this matter out. She also informed my husband that Vodacom did exactly the same thing to four other customers in Bredasdorp at the same time. She phoned customer care again and they informed her that she must log a request with Vodacom’s IT dept to sort this out. I waited for quite a while, while she logged this on their system and told me that the matter will be resolved in an hour to 24 hours from 10h20 that day.. She assured me that she will keep me posted about the progress and provide me with the ref no for this.

· When I did not hear from Vodacom or her by 10h20 on Thursday,Dec 8, I phoned her at Vodacom Bredasdorp throughout the day to try to get any information and the new ref for this new request but she was just never available or returned any of my calls.

· By Dec 9, I decided that my business has suffered enough without a cell phone and I went to MTN Bredasdorp to ask them to issue me with a new number, as Vodacom are unwilling to port my existing number to them. MTN was unable to issue me with a new cell phone number because of the pending porting matter with Vodacom.

· I have also sent numerous emails to ********** to see if they can’t assist me. No luck there either.

· I also laid a complaint with Hello Peter on Sunday, Dec 4, but again received no response from Vodacom regarding this matter.

· As you can see I have not used this number since Dec, 9. CANCEL MY NUMBER AND STOP SENDING ME INVOICES FOR A PAY AS YOU GO ACCOUNT that is not functioning anymore.

· CANCEL ********** AGAIN WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT AND CANCEL YOUR NOW ******* DEBIT ORDER AGAINST MY BANK ACCOUINT !!!!!!!!
