Vodacom refusing to cancel fibre contract - two years after it was cancelled

I cancelled my Vodacom fibre contract on 27 November 2017 because the quality of service and customer service were so bad. I was subsequently handed over to a debt collection agency for "non-payment" on the account, and when I sent them the cancellation email, they said it was done. Vodacom then handed me over to another debt collection agency who harassed me constantly, even after I sent them the cancellation email, and I was forced to go to the ombudsman. On 12 July 2019, I received a mail from Vodacom that the cancellation was complete. On 19 July I received a mail from Vodacom that the order status had been changed to "open". Then I got a mail telling me to call Vodacom's legal department, which I did, and guess what?! I had been handed over for the cancelled fibre contract AGAIN. Are Vodacom's systems so bad that they can't figure out who has a contract with them and who has cancelled? Or are they just trying to bully me into paying for a service I haven't used in two years?

Update: Vodacom tried to call me twice while I was in meetings, and then proceeded to hand me over to a third debt collector. I will be forwarding this to the ombudsman like I have all the other ones...
