Vodacom refuses to take responsibility

I upgraded my data contract telephonically and specifically stated that I was using a data sharing SIM and asked if that would affect anything. I was told it would not affect anything. On the 30th of September both SIMs were rendered inactive and upon querying I was told that it would only activate on the 1st of October. I paid data till the end of the 30th and Vodacom saw it fit to ***** data that I paid for. Subsequently the data sharing SIM remained inactive and after several calls, being ping ponged on their call centre and sent to a store, Vodacom now expects me to migrate to open line and pay more than double the initial contract price even though the promotion is still on and is what I signed up for. I am told cancellation would mean me paying 75% of the contract. They refuse to take responsibility for any error and have rendered be unable to use the contract for my purposes and nor can I cancel. Surely this can be reported to the ombudsman as unfair?

So despite a resolution on the above, I am being charged the incorrect price. Query was logged on 16 November via Facebook, several follow ups later from my side and and they still maintain they are waiting for feedback. You would swear they are a new start up. I'm not asking a mammoth task! Please cancel your contract and let me move on to better service. It's more of a headache to deal with you and top of it PAY you for it.

Still no feedback from Vodacom, 5 months down the line and I'm still being asked to be patient???? as the matter is with retentions. How many months does one have to wait for a resolution?
