Vodacom refuses to cancel my contract and refuses to provide me with a SIM card.
REF: *** SIM card / Phone number ***. I lost my phone and as my contract was at its end, I phoned Vodacom to cancel my contract. A sweet talking Rohan persuaded me to rather take an upgrade. I agreed, subject to Vodacom providing me with a new SIM card. Rohan assured me that the new SIM card would be delivered with the phone. When the new SIM card was not delivered with the phone, I contacted Vodacom again and was assured that a new SIM card would be delivered within a couple of days. It was not delivered and after a week I contacted Vodacom again to cancel my contract. I got through to the sweet talking Rohan again and I asked him to cancel my contract. He eventually assured me that he cancelled my contract and that RAM couriers would come to pick up the phone. He also assured me that I would never have to contact Vodacom again as I was now free from Vodacom. Rohan **** again as he never cancelled the contract. Yes, he blatantly **** to me. RAM couriers never came to pick up my phone and this month Vodacom deducted MY money. It is more than a month later and I am sitting with an upgraded contract and a new phone that I am paying for, yet Vodacom refuses to provide me with a SIM card or to cancel my contract. So I cannot use the phone, the minutes or the data”. Is this no a **** at its worst? Is it not ******** to deduct money for a service rendered while no service is being rendered? Why does Vodacom blatantly lie? Also, why can I not contact Vodacom from a Cell C number?
