Vodacom refuses to cancel expired contracts.

I have called Vodacom's cancellation service (***) on 5 occasions (7 March;8 March x2; 15 March; and 7 April).

I requested the cancellation of 3 contracts. The contracts have lapsed and is now on a moth to month basis. I owe no money. No payments have been made late. During these calls the agents wasted time trying to push new deals instead of assisting me with my problem. I would still be using Vodacom for my phone so it's not as if I'm switching providers.

During the call made on 15/3/2021, I spoke to Nompilo Khumalo (reference number ***) who assured me the contracts will be cancelled, that I would pay for them for the last time on 03/04/2021 and that the new, smaller amount would be due on 03/05/2021.

She assured me I would receive communication via sms confirming the call and that I would be notified at the end of the month. None of the above happened. I have since been invoiced for the full original amount on 03/05/2010.

I called again on7/04/2021 and spoke to Sarah who confirmed that I placed the call but that the contracts were not cancelled. She put me through to Louis Mqotyana at 15:18 and she suggested I speak to a supervisor.

Louis Mqotyana stated that there were no floor supervisors available and offered to help. I stated my case and he promised that the supervisors would review recordings of the calls made and suggested they could credit my account with the amount I have been charged for the three numbers. He appologised and admitted the mistake. I requested an email confirming this by the end of the business day.

He confirmed that I should receive communication regarding the complaint right after the call. I am still waiting for the sms on the very first call. I received no communication. I have no faith that I will be heard or helped. According to statements( I***) received on 9/4/2021, I will still be charged the full amount and no communication about my request has been received. Ironic for a big telecommunications company.

I want Vodacom to open communications via email. I lodged a complaint at costumer care via email this morning (09/04/2021).
