Vodacom refused to help with sim swap

In December 2016 I bought a new phone for my 7 year old son. As usual the dealer insisted on issuing a new sim card. I explained to her that I do have a sim card and only need a new handset but she insisted on giving me a new sim. Vodacom is running a campaign where you get free airtime when you purchase certain handsets, for that reason I had to use the new sim and put the old one somewhere “safe”. Now the old sim is missing and Vodacom cannot assist me with sim swap. They are asking me questions that no one has answers for. Like your last 5 dialed numbers. For havens sake my 7 year old is using this number how on earth are we able to remember that. Any way he only use the phone to play games and for us to call him when he is with the granny. No one at Vodacom is willing to listen to me, I called the call center and visited 2 Vodacom shops in Centurion, everyone insist on the 5 last dialed numbers. My question is why 5. What is I number is used for Whatapp only. Why can’t they use my RICA information to identify me? This number is very important to us as it has his day and year of birth. We cannot lose it. Is there nothing that Vodacom can do
