Vodacom Recycling Numbers on Promotional Contracts

I took out a double deal Vodacom contract. In this contract you get a Contract phone with a contract SIM as well as another phone with a prepaid type SIM. The second SIM get a few rand per month airtime for 24 months.

The price is very reasonable but there is something the dont tell the customer.

The prepaid SIM number is a recycled number. This means that my litllte girl have been getting SMS's from everyplace you can imagine that provides credit. Even the SABC is trying to get TV licence fees out of her. The 'Unknown' calls floods in (about 15 to 20 calls per day).

I phoned Vodacom requesting a number change but according to them, promotional numbers cant be changed.

So I guess I'm stuck with Mr Mncube's bad debt for the next 24 months. Had I known this, I NEVER would have taken the contract!
