Vodacom R300 voucher

on the 24/11/2016 I bought a new cellphone at Woolworth middelburg mall mpumalanga. I bought the phone cash and it came with a promotional voucher of R300 as explained by the sales lady.

on the 28/11/2016 we transferred R29 airtime in my daughters new phone because for her to receive the voucher she had to recharge with R29.

on the 08/12/2016 she had not received the voucher and we transferred again R100.

on the 26/12/2016 the voucher was not received and I called vodacom on 114 number. I spoke to a consultant by the name on Nonkululeko who sent our query to voucher department and said since it was a public holiday and they don't work on weekends our query will be attended to in 3 working days, that was supposed to be on the 21/12/2016 and the reference given to us was A7-EGHA-KUYG. I was also requested to send 'NEW' to number 31118 which I did.

on the 22/12/2016 I called vodacom 114 since the voucher department hadn't called me to inquire about our query. Before that the new phone was not working it was giving a message saying ' not connected to network '

The lady who attended to my call told me that a sim swap was done on the phone. I questioned her how possible is that because I haven't requested any sim swap? She responded by saying it was swapped on the 16th according to their records. She requested me to go and buy a new SIM card so that they reinstated the number and load the voucher. I was very upset with this and I voiced out my frustration because I have to use my petrol to go and buy a new sim which is actually vodacom's a problem not mine. Nevertheless I bought a new sim and it was activated on the 24/12/2016.

she also explained to me that I must recharge the airtime instead of transferring the airtime in order for vodacom to transfer the voucher once the sim swap is resolved

on the 28/12/2016 at 23:40 I called vodacom again to get assistance, the lady who attended to my call told me that it's not vodacom's problem I must go to Woolies so that they can resolve it for me

on the 29/12/2016 I went to Woolies middelburg mall and the lady who assisted me called Amo vodacom rep for Woolies who told her vodacom cannot help me since the voucher has expired on the 28/12.

i requested the lady to call Amo again so that I can voice out my frustration with the service I have received from vodacom and to say I have been following up on this matter but was not resolved, so it is not my problem that vodacom failed to resolve the matter before expiry date. She acknowledged that the was a miscommunication and she will call me before end on business today. I'm still waiting for her call at 20:03 on the 29/12/2016

Regards

Unsatisfied client
