Vodacom quick to run to Legal

I have been a Vodacom customer for 15y+ with several nrs.

I was talked onto a dual contract ( ********** 398 & ********** 431) somewhere mid 2014. I made a late payment for that Dec, on which I was placed on the Credit Bureau. Later in that year I paid late again, and Vodacom cut my lines (without even contacting me) before I could pay. I paid the arrears, however my airtime (for which I paid for now), was not included. I made an enquiery with their "Customer Service" and was told they will get back to me...nothing happened. I then stopped payment till they get back to me. At the same time, I also told Customer Service that I do not like the idea of having a "recycled nr", as I do get several SMS's from companies threatening the previous owner of the nr. I have NO WHERE agreed to have a recycled nr!.

Up to date, almost a year and half later, still no feedback from Vodacom, however, got an email from their Debt Collectors with a FINAL DEMAND.

Nice to know that you deal with a company that:

1) Cut your line when you pay late

2) Does not add the airtime that you actually paid for, after settling the arrears for the month

3) Run to Legal to enforce YOUR side of a contract, where they do not provide their side

4) Have a pathetic Customer Service that does not come back to you as said.

Think my realtionship with Vodacom must also come to an end...they are not the only service providers.

As per usual: The Standard Business reply with no communication further. Still awaiting feedback from them AFTER I sent this review to them via email as well.

As expected. The reply came, an email was sent to me, all of the requested information was not provided, on which I asked AGAIN, and still no reply. We are more than 2 weeks later. You dont even respond to your Legal Dept who I asked assistance to get the information.

Now one wonder: What is Customer Service - I can only say that it is due to THIS type of "professionalism", that a client, like myself, get in the "wrong".

Vodacom, please employ competent people to deal with the people that brings in YOUR money.
