Vodacom ****py online service platforms!!

I logged a call with Vodacom on 10 Nov 2020 to query my accessing my apps on my iPhone. This was logged via their online chat platform since Vodacom now no longer have options of human agent providing query resolution services via Voice calls-so I came to find out on the 10 Nov. The consultant I chatted to via this online chat platform goes by the name Nteboheng. She instructed me to reboot my phone & she was going to call me back. I rebooted the phone & instead of my phone ringing to alert me of her calls; I simply received a SMS notification of her missed calls. It then occurred to me that; over and above the Apps query I had which she failed to resolve; Vodacom has now created another problem for me of calls not coming through as I started receiving SMS notifications of missed calls from my other contacts.

Needless to say; my phone was working perfectly well in terms of my ability to receive & make calls. I also still can make calls; but, I just can’t receive calls.

I ultimately managed to resolve the Apps issue by calling Apple & iTunes where I spoke to 2 different consultants one in the UK & 1 in the USA & they both resolved the issue of the Apps on the same night of the 10 Nov 2020.

However my woes with Vodacom were not over & a call was logged by another consultant I chatted to via Vodacom online platform since rebooting my phone disturbed the chat with the said Nteboheng. This service call log was for the problem I have of not receiving calls since I rebooted my phone following Nteboheng ‘s instructions. The ref no for that service call is: A2-KCC-TYN1F3 as received via SMS on the 10 Nov 2020 with a promise to resolve my query within 48hrs.

I contacted Vodacom again on the 12 Nov to follow up on resolution of my query since my phone was still not receiving any calls, even though I am still able to make calls. This time around I chatted to a Wendy via the same online chat platform who even confirmed the service call reference & said same is receiving attention & I will be contacted by Vodacom when problem is resolved. She dismally failed to explain how Vodacom WILL GET THROUGH TO TALKING TO ME SINCE MY PHONE IS NOT RECEIVING CALLS....,THE REASON FOR THE LOGGED SERVICE QUERY!!!!!

To my shocking & frustrating surprise; this morning, 13 Nov, Vodacom sent me 3 SMS’s to say the service call logged with the above reference number HAS NOW BEEN CLOSED!!!!!

How is it closed when MY PHONE IS STILL NOT RECEIVING CALLS? WHAT HAS VODACOM DONE SINCE I LOGGED THIS CALL WITH THEM FOR A PROBLEM THEY THEMSELVES CREATED????

It’s seriously frustrating having to chat to robots via SMS, WhatsApp & having to chat to humans via online engagement & still have no resolution to your query 4 days later & worse, WHEN VODACOM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROBLEM CREATED!!! Their 135 customer care service line is equally useless as one has no option to SPEAK to a human agent!!!

Frustratingly; my phone is STILL NOT RECEIVING CALLS; yet......my service call log is CLOSED! I remain PREJUDICED because of ****PY SERVICE of replacing human agents with robots. A very misplaced strategy of 4th industrial revolutions; human agents are still required for other types of customer service requests! If Apple could resolve my query for a free call with human agents based in the UK & the US; Vodacom SA remains useless in strategizing on customer service!!

Whilst the feedback is appreciated- how will Vodacom contact me since, even now; CALLS ARE STILL NOT COMING THROUGH. Is it really difficult to understand the frustration & prejudice the conduct of your service consultant has left me in??! It will be you AGAIN telling me you are not able to get hold of me- forgetting that your troubleshooting what had now been resolved by Apple (i.e Access to Apps on Apps store) was already resolved on Tuesday.

A satisfactory response from Vodacom should address 2 matters:
1. How your consultant will make contact with me since MY PHONE IS NOT RECEIVING CALLS, this after your consultant, Nteboheng told me to reboot my phone, only for my phone to stop RECEIVING calls after I switched it back on.
2. It’s now 4 days later since I’ve been reading about your “consultant will contact me to resolve the problem YOU caused”!

I WANT A COMMITMENT OF WHAT METHOD OF CONTACT YOUR CONSULTANT WILL USE TO CONTACT ME ......AND, a DEFINITE DATE & TIME OF WHEN THAT WILL BE!!!!!!

It can’t be right that Vodacom continues to prejudice me whilst it continues to make a profit from my purchasing of airtime daily because I ALWAYS HAVE TO USE MY AIRTIME AND RETURN MISSED CALLS since my phone always goes to voicemail whenever ANYONE CALLS ME!!

This response is totally unacceptable as I have heard the same EMPTY PROMISE SINCE 4 days AGO!!’????????????????

Out of sheer desperation, I just also tried the trouble shooting recommended for users with network challenges following the media announcement released 10 min ago today that; “Vodacom users hit by widespread network issues”...,,yet I know my issue with Vodacom started on Tuesday the 4 Nov & is not even related to data network issues experienced by your other users!!!!

As expected; that trouble shooting of switching the Flight Mode on & off the restarting the phone; just didn’t help me...... I AM STILL NOT RECEIVING CALLS!!!!!
