Vodacom puts an entire suburb's safety at risk!

Word on the street is that Vodacom might have discontinued, suspended or decommissioned a Vodacom tower in Blairgowrie Randburg JHB that is now affecting many residents in Blairgowrie, and many elderly residents, who are not able to make or receive any phone calls.

This without testing it effects, letting residents know or even care about the outcome of that so-called "suspension."

We only became aware of the problem, when we accidentally set our alarm off in the middle of the night after returning from work, and could not reach ADT and neither could they reach us.

What is super surprising is that many of our neighbors have lodged complaints, meaning somehow, somewhere Vodacom should know, and or be aware of this serious issue - no service delivery.

Yet no one at their call centers, each of whom have been extremely helpful and concerned, are empowered with knowledge or the resources to escalate such a major risk issue to top management.

It should not be the consumer’s responsibility, in these tough economical conditions to take time out from work, to try and figure out the cause of a service affecting an entire suburb's safety.

What is the next step? Keep calling the Vodacom customer help line in the hope that somehow this gets resolved before somebody gets hurt not being able to phone for help!
