Vodacom Promise to pay
Vodacom Promise to Pay Is Misleading – Line Still Soft Locked
Vodacom offers a Promise to Pay option, which implies that services will remain active until the agreed payment date, and have been using for at least 6 months, always paying on the date that was promised, and that this must be done before the 7th of the following month. Unfortunately something change that, and can not pick up that their was any communication regarding this service. My husband did his promise to pay yesterday morning, and I was about to do mine say about 12:00, but Vodacom just soft lock our phones with no explanation........ This completely defeats the purpose of the Promise to Pay option.
If Vodacom still restricts a line despite accepting a Promise to Pay, then this service is misleading and unfair to customers, as it creates the expectation that services will continue normally until the agreed date.
I would like Vodacom to explain:
Why a line is still soft locked when a Promise to Pay agreement exists
How this aligns with what is communicated to customers
Why customers are penalized despite complying with the agreed arrangement
I am requesting:
Removal of the soft lock while the Promise to Pay is valid
Clear written clarification of Vodacom’s Promise to Pay policy
Assurance that customers will not be misled going forward
I trust Vodacom will respond publicly and resolve this matter.
