Vodacom prepaid number just dissapears

Have had a prepaid number for 5 years+. On Friday I do a top up. On Saturday I make calls with no problem.

On Sunday I put sim in another phone and number is gone. Try phone and 13 minutes no response.

I go to Vodacom and am told this number does not exist. Vodacomn phone their office and I am then told it will be investigated. To date Nothing
