Vodacom Powerflex deal Impossible to Cancel - false advertising

Recently purchased a powerflex SIM. I was unaware however, that it would not be possible to port my MTN number onto the SIM. I therefore need to cancel the deal as I need to keep my old number and have a phone with only 1 SIM slot.

Vodacom's advertising states that you can cancel anytime via the Vodacom app with no hassle and no penalty. When actually looking in the app for a cancellation option, there is none under any heading.

When phoning their call centre, they put me on hold for ages, only to send me back and forth between customer care and cancellations. Each one saying that they can't help prepaid customers.

I have tried going to a Vodacom store. None of the employees could find the option to cancel the deal. The employees in-store then phoned Customer Care, and the agent they spoke to also could not figure it out. It would be funny if not so frustrating - Vodacom must have the the worst helplines in the country. Even the sales line puts you on hold for an extended period.

As far as I am concerned, the Vodacom Powerflex online deal is false advertising. It has definitely been a hassle to attempt to cancel this deal. if there is any follow up and action required from my side and I need to cancel via any other route than with the app, a refund should be due to me.
