VODACOM POWER TO THEMSELVES AND NOT THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!!!!

My mom took out a router with Vodacom for me in August 2016 which I paid monthly into her account. August 2016 was pro-rated as discussed and I was told that we wont be billed for it at all, but we we billed for itand we paid it. November & December 2016 we picked up that the no data was on the router and went to vangate mall vodacom shop for assistance and we were told that we need to call the accounts department, what a procedure that was and currently still is. When we called Vodacom that advised us in January 2017 that the account was in arrears and that payment needed to be made urgently. We couldn't understand as to why this happened as there was money the account to be debited. After making the required payment of R500.00 (this money was withdrawn from the bank account that was supposed to be debited) to have the account updated we sent the proof of payment to accounts and was told that we still in arrears. When we enquired as to the debit order date it was advised that it was way before the agreed upon date for the end of each month - so in essence VODACOM was wrong but wouldn't accept the blame but made it our fault instead. yet being the humble customers we made the effort to get the account up to date so that we can get the service we paid for, boy were we wrong. Again when we paid R1100.00 to get the account updated and in a credit, we still had to do all the running around for a service we werent getting. So we paid a total of R1600.00 and never received any data for those 5months which was 5gigs a month totaling up to 25gigs. My mom was told that i would however forfeit those months and only get March because the account was in arrears - remember THIS WAS NOT OUR FAULT BUT WE HAD TO TAKE THE BLAME AND PAY FOR RECEIVING NO SERVICE. Then today the 29th March 2017 @ 11:42am I called Vodacom offices and was told by Kastro that I'm supposed to receive all my data as I will only FORFEIT DATA AFTER MONTH 7... then he transfered me to accounts and the call cut whileI was waiting for the agent to pick up. I then called back @ 12:07pm and spoke to Warren whom told me that Kastro was incorrect with his statement as the gigs only accumalate over 2months and then after that its forfeited. Warren also advised that he heard Kastro telling a customer that as they sit next to each other but wasn't aware the condition of the account was. Warren then advised he will be escalating the matter to higher powers that can assist as he and his managers all have the same system access and they unable to help me at this stage. On the call Warren confirmed that the account is up to date and also in a credit of over R300.00 but he can't understand as to why the line isn't open or why I'm unable to use the router. VODACOM SHOULD CHANGE THE SLOGAN FROM "POWER TO YOU" TO "POWER TO THEIR POCKETS" They are inconsiderate beings that pass the blame to the customers for mistakes that they made. I will be taking further action on this account with the OMBUDSMAN as they went back on their promises.
