Vodacom - porting a number to Vodacom is impossible

I would advise everyone to stay far far away from Vodacom. I had an MTN number, decided to port it to Vodacom because I've always had brilliant service on my other numbers. That was 9 (yes NINE!!!) days ago. I still cannot use my old number on the Vodacom network. The people at the Vodashop are awesome, but the faceless entity called "vodacom" that blocks all efforts to fix the problems have caused me such enormous frustration that I am about to cancel all my Vodacom contracts and move to a different provider. And I would encourage everyone reading this - STAY AWAY FROM VODACOM. Talk is cheap and that seems to be what Vodacom excels in.
