Vodacom poor service

In the past I wanted to swap my sim at Vodacom stores and had to answer a lot of security questions, give my ID and sign a document. Yesterday I saw on my phone that it isn’t registered on the Vodacom network. Being in a full day job I last night restarted my phone, but still the same message. I decided to look if they haven’t sent me an sms. So: there it was! A message the previous night at 20:10 that there was a request to do a sim swap and I must call in within 3 hours, if I think this is *****, because the sim swap will start at 6 am and be completed in 3 hours. Of course I did not see the message in time and when I phone Vodacom customer care at 082153, they were “very sorry” and I once again had to answer a few security questions. I now have to go in to a Vodacom shop and they cannot reverse the sim swap. I am furious!! How do they DO this *****??? Now I, the owner of the sim for years, must have the inconvenience of NOT being on a network and not being near to a Vodacom shop, have to wait until I can get to them to “correct” it or do a sim swap, of course with my ID and a lot of questions!! I hold Vodacom responsible for bridging my privacy according to the POPIA Act! This is unacceptable! No one needs to be the victim of sim swap *****!
