Vodacom - Poor service and lack of empathy from Accounts

As a result of the pandemic and subsequent lock down my salary was not in my account when Vodacom submitted their debit order at the end of May 2020. When I became aware of this via a notification from Vodacom I explained the situation. I was then given 14 days to settle the arrears amount. This would result in the amount having to be settled by 23 June 2020. I tried explaining to the consultant at the time that the earliest that my salary would be in would be the 25th of the month. I was told that this was my problem and not theirs. On 30th June Vodacom suspended services on this account. I called and spoke to a very helpful lady whose name I did not catch, and she explained that a debit order for the current month plus arrears had already been processed by Vodacom, and that I should check if it had been taken out of my account. At the time it had not, however it did go through overnight. This amounted to over R4500, and it was cleared. The lady I had spoken to told me that the suspension should be lifted as soon as I could proved that the debit order had been cleared. I checked my account on 1st July to find that the debit order had indeed cleared, but the suspension had not been lifted, so I took the lady consultant's advice and phoned Vodacom Accounts again, and gave another lady all of the details. She advised me to send a copy of my bank statement showing the outstanding amount going through my account to ***, to get the suspension lifted, otherwise it would take 3 days. When I asked if the suspension would be lifted on receipt of the proof of payment she said that it would still take 48 hours, which is only 24 hours less than if I did not send POP. I was also told that I had been reported to ITC for late payment, and this would only be reviewed on 23rd July. I have been with Vodacom for around 15 years and have 2 accounts that added together amount to approximately R4000 a month. This is the first time that I have defaulted on a payment, and then only in a time of stress and reduced income as a result of the pandemic and lock down, yet the consultant at Vodacom showed absolutely no empathy whatsoever. When she asked me to review her service after the call I told her that she did not want my review, but she insisted that I should go ahead and do the review, which I did. When I gave a shocking review all that I was asked was to confirm the review by pressing 1, which I did, no further explanation of my poor rating was requested, and I have not any further feedback from Vodacom. I have a number of contracts in 2 accounts with Vodacom, I do not intend renewing one of these contracts when they reach maturity. Had this happened at another time I may have been a little less annoyed, but companies are supposed to be trying their best to help during these trying times, and I did not experience any empathy or genuine assistance from the Vodacom accounts consultant on the 1st July 2020.
