VODACOM POOR SERVICE

Please find email that was sent to Vodacom on 8 May 17 but still nothing has been done.

"Good day

I wish to lodge a complaint about bad service and would like you to resolve this matter urgently otherwise I will have to go to the Consumer Council in this regard.

This cell phone contract is my daughter's number and was upgraded in Des 16. On the Jan 17 statement it showed that an amount of R836.50 was payable end of January which was incorrect because the amount should only be R288.50 (wrong amounts were billed on the account). A credit of R548 had to be placed on the account. I phoned on 18 January 2017 and gave all this information through and the person at the Customer Care Call Centre said that I do not have to worry, there is a lot of time to fix it before the end of January. Listen to call ref 1/ ********** 125118.

End of January came and on 6 Feb 17 an amount of R1125.00 was debited with the debit order from my bank account. I went to the bank and stopped the debit order because Vodacom Customer Service did not do their job and I were not prepared to wait a whole month for this to be rectified. Nothing at Vodacom is fixed urgently!!! So, it was my right to stop that debit order from going through. I phoned Vodacom and told them I am going to pay only the R288.50 which was the correct amount. So I paid it at Shoprite on 8/2/17.

You will see on my account, only on 10/2/17, almost a month after my first call the credit was placed on my account and I was supposed to be up to date. But no, Vodacom has the audacity to charge me a penalty fee of R100 because I stopped the debit order – how sick is this????? Firstly you do not do your work and I have to take the necessary steps to do the right thing and you penalise me???? I paid the correct amount and have been paying it cash ever since because I do not trust your administrative system.

I phoned on 15/2/17 with regards to the R100 penalty, call ref nr 1/ ********** ********** , again they told me the penalty will be reversed within 2-7 working days. I phoned again after that and then they told me no I have to pay because I stopped the debit order.

I will not pay this R100 penalty, because if Vodacom did their job in the first place all this would not have happened. I have been a Vodacom customer for many years and if this problem is not solved within the next two weeks I will take steps and go the the Consumer Council and lodge a complaint, I will go to the news papers and I will cancel my contract and tell everyone about Vodacom’s poor Service.

Please assist in this matter urgently and inform me of the outcome before or on 23 May 2017 where after further steps will be taken."

Contact Karen ********** 495 or email **********

Vodacom rep**** the next day on Hello Peter that my account will be credited. Still nothing has been done.
