Vodacom - Poor Sales Service and Customer Service

Hello,

I am writing this on behalf of my wife. She was able to upgrade her Tablet Contract middle of May 2016.

She went to the Canal Walk Vodacom to upgrade her contract on the MSISDN - ***. She has explained to the sales person that she would also like to change her number on this contract because she doesn't really use this number.

The MSISDN she would like it to be changed to is ***. The MSISDN *** is a prepaid number. The sales person at the time acknowledged that it isn't an issue she just needs to do a Sim Swop. The Sales person said that the Sim Swop should talk about an hour to go through. We left the shop, 24 hours passed and the Sim Swop was completed, however the contract wasn't active as yet.

We then went to Vodacom Cape Gate. We have explained the scenario to the sales person, my wife has upgraded the contract for the MSISDN - ***, however the Number is to be changed to ***. As per usual, sales person wanting to make some sort of a sale, asking her if she already made a simswop. We have explained that all this is done, she just needs the contract to be activated on her number ***. The Sales person said that the contract will only be active 1st day of the new month. My Wife was forced to purchase prepaid bundles to make use of the phone.

1st day of the new month came, contract goes active on the old MSISDN: ***. Myself and my wife are now upset because clearly 2 different people from 2 different shops did not bother to listen or understand my wife's query. We went back to Vodacom Cape Gate, explained the whole situation again to the sales person and assist manager. After about 30 minutes explaining to them what my wife's situation is, she then took out the Sim card from the Tablet and put it into the phone and said the issue is resolved. I was skeptical that the issue was resolved, so i tried dialing the number ***. The call went straight to voicemail. Clearly the issue wasn't resolved, we were forced to stand in the que again to try and get this issue resolved. We then spoke to the Shop Manager, explained the whole situation to her and she said that when a contract number cant be changed. My wife will have to use the number that is allocated to the contract.

The main issue at hand is that she has now a contract that on a number - *** that she doesn't really use and still have to buy data and airtime for her prepaid number - ***. Sales people so eager to make a sale that they dont listen to customer's queries. The After Sales Service is Pathetic, and the people are just to arrogant and think they know what you want and afterwards they still dont know what it is the customer wants.

So much time and effort an patience is being wasted by shop sales staff, 3 visits to 2x different shops and 3x sales people that dont understand the query.

What my Wife needs is the following:

1. the contract that is on MSISDN: *** is to be updated to her prepaid number: *** ( contract doesn't change, just the MSISDN). If this cant be done the contract is to be terminated and the contract is to be reopened under the MSISDN: ***
