VODACOM POOR NETWORK

The coverage of Vodacom is unreliable at various locations and their backup service is very poor. Vodacom's network is unpredictable and is causing me financial losses. I cannot perform my work and my trading on the stock exchange runs into losses. I've reported the matter on different occasions but due to the poor maintenance on their network, they are unable to keep up with the demands. The dilemma is that I am with Vodacom for the past 40 years and would not like to cancel at this stage.

They need to upgrade their network to keep up with the higher demand.

Complaining at Tambotie Mall Vodacom Branch, the Technician replies that he will follow up on Thursday as he is "day-off" today, Wednesday, 04th September 2024.

Thank you Vodacom Consumer Team,

I am currently at another site at Sibanye Stillwater Academy near Kloof Main Shaft where we currently have approximately 5% coverage.
You will therefore be lucky to contact me. Please do.

I am unable to run a Speed Test.

I reported the same poor connection to a consultant who contacted me from an escalated position.

He explained to me that Sibanye Stillwater already lodged a complaint at Commercial Level due to the severity of the incident.

The following day the coverage was perfect. Yesterday, the coverage faded at approximately 08h00 at my home at Pelzvale AH. Last night it came right at approximately 18h00.

Today back at Sibanye Stillwater Academy, there is almost no coverage at all.

This is totally unacceptable.

Vodacom rep**** Telephonically to me yesterday at 14h30:

The poor coverage is escalated, and they will update me today. They took my email addresses and will formally correspond with me to have everything on record.

I MADE IT CLEAR THAT:
1. It is unacceptable that Vodacom only provides its customers with a reference number and record everything discussed, but the recording (transcription) is not available to the customer. Therefor it is ONE-WAY recordings to use information against you with NO TRANSPARENCY.
2. Vodacom's correspondence system is poor because one is only able to contact the call center with different consultants answering the phones and no possible way to talk to the same consultant again to follow up on a request.

AFTER OUR COMMUNICATION YESTERDAY, I RECEIVED A MESSAGE THAT THE MY SERVICE TICKET HAS BEEN CLOSED. SEE BELOW:

Dear Vodacom Customer. Your service ticket with reference number EC-1TZC-1TMEQ3 has been closed. Thank you Vodacom.

How can I rely on Vodacom to prevent any No-/ Poor Coverage in the two areas that effects my work financially, namely, Pelzvale AH and Glenharvie in future?

I want all correspondence in writing to build up a record of poor work performance / service if it needs to be.

MY MAIN FOCUS AS A 40 YEAR CUSTOMER, IS TO:
1. Stress how essential it is for Vodacom to enhance the transparency of their reporting system for the benefit of all customers.
2. Improving network coverage is essential to ensure that all customers receive the service they pay for.
3. TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION FOR THE EXCELLENT, HIGH-QUALITY, AND RELIEAVLE SERVICES PROVIDED BY VODACOM.
