Vodacom, Politicians, Zuma = no difference
So after 14 years with Vodacom. I decided to make use of their online store to do an upgrade rather than struggling at their stores. The process was quick but soon was deemed to be the worst service I have received from any service provider. The sales rep phoned and said that because the Friday is on a first I would receive my phone that Friday or the Monday as they do not do deliveries on weekends .(Note that I have to do site meetings and inspections so having a date for delivery is very important as I need to plan around this)
Friday and Monday passed with no phone calls or sms's notifying me of any information. I tried calling several times on ********** 4, Option 1 is to hear what the status is. I have the phone records where I was on hold for 10min at a time just listening to their ****py music with not speaking to one person. (during this wait the voice said, "please stay on the line to rate our service at the end of the call" I could not even rate the ****py service even if I wanted to)
I tried the online chat, to only hear Tuesday afternoon that the phone has not even been dispatched yet. I tried today again and the online chat agent let me knows that the phone will be delivered today or tomorrow and that I should phone RAM Couriers to find out when they will deliver. After phoning RAM and speaking to the agent they do not have the Reference number Vodacom gave me and do not even have my number on their system.
I then dialed ********** 4 again and selected option 2 (sales). I knew they would pick up because the greedy ******s just wants your money and then runs off like politicians asking for your vote with empty promises. I spoke to Sharday/Charde how ever you want to pronounce it. Again, no help with the situation and no answers to when this will be delivered. Just that it has not been dispatched and that I must use a reference number to track the order that does not even reflect on any system.
I asked the agent at vodacom to speak to a manager or someone that can help me get this phone to me, I was on hold for another couple of minutes before she came back and said, 'sorry our managers are in a meeting". Now i know that these managers just say that because they are failing in their jobs, getting paid good money to manage but service delivery is not a requirement, what are they managing? Pushing for sales no matter what, the client can wait as long as i get my target to reach my goal.
Now I have proof of my phone calls, the time i spent on every call to Vodacom. Unfortunately I do not have the online chat records. (another thing, You are on hold with their chat agents as well. and then you have to sit and check your screen because if you do not reply quick enough they cut the chat and you are back at square one.)
The sales rep that promised me that it would be delivered Friday or latest Monday Name is Ashley, His employee name is DUTOIT01.
Unfortunately if this is how Vodacom treats a client that has been filling their pockets for over 14 years and all you want in return is good service and this is the type of treatment you get for your loyalty then i suggest when the other companies call with offers as they have done over the years rather take their business as i would not recommend VODACOM SA to anyone.
