Vodacom please release the number

So my nightmare with Vodacom continues. Finally the contract has been cancelled however Vodacom is blocking me from porting the number to the new service provider. I was told to contact the call centre to release the number what ******** is that? And when I do call the call gets dropped every time and the reason they give is all agents are currently busy.
