Vodacom - planet of IDIOTS

Wow...where do I start. I have cancelled my insurance with Vodacom 6 times now already...and every month it’s the same lame story and excuse. I have to phone them, be on hold and waiting for about 40min, whereafter my line gets cut. At least 2 or 3 times!!!

After finally speaking to a consultant they apologize for the apparent “system error” that occurred the last time I phoned when the cancellation was supposed to logged. How convenient??? I wonder how many people they are *****ing from like this?

I wonder if they know that it is ********** to pay for insurance on an object you don’t own. I wonder if they know that they are *****ing from me and that this is credit theft??

Vodacom must be the place where the MOST *********** people work on this whole ****ing planet!!!! How hard is it to do your job??? But apparently for the past 6 months no-one has been working!!

What a ****ing excuse of a company! I hate you! And will be cancelling my debit order at my bank until you decide that I am an important enough customer to be assisted!

**** you Vodacom!!!!!

Dear Vodacom,
I am not sure where to begin, but I do know that I have never experienced worse customer care and service from ANY other provider in this entire country. Let me start with going through my story.

In May 2019, I phoned Vodacom Insurance to cancel handset insurance, as I do not own that specific handset anymore and the insurance does not cover the current handset (as I am sure you can see on your system). Stupid me, believing it was as easy as that.

Every month thereafter I had to phone Vodacom again and again, as the insurance was just never cancelled. And to date, still isn’t cancelled. Vodacom DOES NOT have my consent to deduct that money from my account. It is ******* to pay insurance for an object that I don’t own. So now, I am being dragged into your ******* activities too.

Their excuse was just always,” Sorry about that ma’am, but it appears that there has been a system error and that is why it hasn’t been cancelled.” This seems very convenient by the way, I wonder how many of your clients you have been fooling like this – *******ly taking money from them without them even knowing, because we are naïve enough to believe you the first time we cancel it, and quite often we don’t check our statements again afterwards.

Every time a consultant promises me that they have sent the query through to some (useless) department that is going to sort it out, and that I will receive an email that confirms the cancellation. Needless to say, this has NEVER happened. So it is quite obvious that no one at Vodacom does their jobs.

Besides all of this, getting hold of ANY of the consultants to speak too is a challenge on its own. Just for today (12 Dec 2019) I have placed 8 calls to Vodacom Insurance. Five of these calls were just cut off after holding for between 3-5mins. The first call I made, someone actually answered the phone, sand after I explained my story and asked to be put through to a manager (because obviously the consultants are struggling to do their jobs), I was ignored on the line for about 1min, and then the phone was simply put down in my ear!!! On my 8th attempt, someone decided to pick up the call again. He promised to phone me back straight away as the line was bad….well I am sure you can guess what happened there, no call back.

Vodacom, are you happy with this type of service that you are offering your clients? Would this type of service be acceptable (for instance) from a doctor? Someone who’s responsible for saving lives? Thank you Vodacom, for making me feel like I mean less than the dirt under my shoes as a customer to you. I mean, after all, without your customers, who would be paying your generous salaries?

I think it is fair to say, I HATE Vodacom, and will NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS have another contract with you. You are a disgrace to this country, and shouldn’t even have the right to own a business. You are poorly managed, ******** ***** and *******.

Yours Truly ***
