Vodacom Phone Contract.

I’ve had a phone contract with Vodacom for the past three years and never had any issues until now. I recently realised that my contract period is coming to an end, so I called to inform them. That’s when I found out I was supposed to give a 30-day cancellation notice, which I wasn’t aware of.

My concern is that Vodacom is quick to call customers about upgrades, but they don’t inform us when our contracts are about to expire. When I called, I was told that my notice would only take effect at the end of November, even though my last payment is due on the 15th of this month.

I don’t understand why I have to pay for an extra month after the contract has already expired. What exactly am I paying for during that time? It would be much more transparent and fair if Vodacom could notify customers before their contracts end, just like they do with upgrade offers.
