VODACOM PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR DECEASED INDIVIDUALS

PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! My Father in law passed away and i have managed to cancel accounts like DSTV with out any issues, however with Vodacom as i was told that i should email *** and submit the relevant documents and the contract will be cancelled. Vodacom responded stating that i should pay R3 000 in order for them to cancel or move to prepaid, they than Blocked the account without notifying me as they now have a outstanding debt on this account for R3000 ( Which is the full contract term) Payment for the month has made. This is Freaking frustrating and annoying.

Thank you,

Dear Public

Please note if you die, Vodacom gives your 3 options

1. Any persons who provides notice to Vodacom of the deceased becomes liable to pay the term of the contract

2. Transfer of ownership of the contract

3.They will claim from the estate of the deceased ( If the deceased has no estate than you need to take it up with the legal team

There is no direct cancelation option for a deceased unfortunately.
