Vodacom Overcharges
I’m on a fixed contract with Vodacom for my rooter and cellphone. My monthly bill was R626 a month. This month I get a shock when my bill is R957. I called Vodacom to find out why. Guess what the answer is? Your contract expired last month and you no longer qualify for the discount until you renew. I was never informed to notify me of this change. I know that my contract goes on a month-to-month when it expires. Imagine paying R350 a month more for exactly the same data and minutes. How would you feel? The Vodacom Operator and Team Leader’s view was you knew your contract was expiring - so it is what it is. We don’t notify you when your contract is expiring. So the consumer must just remember when each and every cellphone contract expires?! What happens if you have 20 contracts with them? I’m so disgusted and when I said I’m cancelling my contract he said no problem and transferred me to the worst telephone operator I have ever spoken to. I’m definitely going elsewhere
