Vodacom outsourcing their customer service to SAP

Vodacom's agent, Mondo, sold me a subscription last year purporting that the 5 gig data top-up could be used across all my devices. I opted in on this basis for 24 months. It turned out that the data could not be shared across all devices and after much ado (and thanks to Hello Peter), Mondo agreed to refund me the debits already paid for this service, and to have the subscription cancelled on my Vodacom account. They then refunded me for two months. However, Vodacom have been unwilling to cancel the debit and it seems that there is no dialogue between Vodacom and Mondo to resolve this matter. I have been trying to cancel this debit with Vodacom's Cancellations department since last year, and they even confirmed via SMS on 13 February that the matter had been resolved (reference number ***. Handled by Celeste Niemeyer.) However the debits of R200 per month continue. I contacted them again today and was advised by Wilson Thladi of the Cancellations Department that I can only cancel the debit upon paying R1553 for the remainder of the 24 month contract. When I explained the context, he told me to open a ***** case against Mondo. I then asked to speak to a manager, Wilson said no manager would give me any different advice. When I expressed my surprise at this and asked him to escalate the matter he said that if I wanted different advice he would put me through to New Contracts. I said he could put me through to New Contracts, and of course Vodacom's IVR first wanted me to answer four questions on how my service experience had been - and once answered, they promptly cut me off. I am resorting to Hello Peter again because Vodacom needs to take responsibility for their agent's actions and honour their commitment to cancel the subscription for the 5 gig data which was sold to me purporting to be usable across all my devices. Vodacom, you seem to have no process for mediating such issues from your agent Mondo, and your call centre agents do not know how to refer a call that needs escalation. Come on guys, you need to up the bar of customer service here. Do you really want to outsource your Customer Service to the SAP???
