Vodacom opgrade reversal

I am a pensioner, 83 years old. I upgraded telephonically to an iPad 12,6". I received the iPad on 16th March 2022. On the phone I was told that this device could be used for airtime calls, which it could not. Thw device was returned to Vodacom on 23 March 2022. I have since then phoned all the customer care numbers and am still paying R955.00 monthly, which I as pensioner can ill afford. The following is the email which I sent in desperation yesterday I am sick and tired of talking to the agents on the various Vodacom Customer Care numbers.

For the past four {4} months, I have been phoning Vodacom with regard to an iPad which I received and returned.

I was told by the agent with whom I spoke on 15th March 2022, that the iPad could be used as a cellphone using airtime. On receipt I tried to do so and found that this was not possible. I then phoned an iStore who confirmed that no iPad could be used for this purpose. I therefore requested a pick-up via Ram Couriers. This was done on 23rd March 2022. I received a small sticker from the Ram courier which I stuck on the document [attached] which I had received on delivery [number COL***0]. I also phoned Ram and the following information was given to me: The item was delivered to the Vodacom warehouse on 24th March 2022 at 09:42 and signed for by a certain Cielo [not sure of the spelling] Magafela.

On my next Vodacom invoice I saw I was being billed for the iPad, via debit order. Since then I have continuously been phoning all the various customer care numbers, as well as the Vodacom head office number. Every time I am told that the agent on the line would attend to the matter. I am still being debited for this iPad.

I am 83 years old [ID *** 08 5]. I cannot pay R955.00 every month for an item which I DO NOT HAVE and CANNOT USE, even if it was in my possession. Is this how you treat a customer who has been with Vodacom for over 20 years? Why do you exploit the elderly? Or do you think I am too old to realise what is happening on my bank account?? Please help me. I have been battling this for 4 months now.
