Vodacom Online Shop Black Friday Sham Deals

I app**** for 2 vodacom deals on Black Friday on their online shop which was just before 1 am as I stayed up to be in time for the deals. Mind you I was in time and have evidence of this as well, as they had the amounts left of every deal on the website that was left over. The deal I first took had 3 Samsung A8 phones left for R99 per month. I app**** and entered my details as I am an existing client and the website rep**** with "A call centre Agent will call you shortly with a reference number and that a confirmation email has been send". The following is what is stated on the 2 confirmation emails that myself and my wife received as she took the same deal later on at R189 per month or something like that for a Samsun A8.

" Hello ***x, We have received your request for a new deal and your reference number is 3I4CY6 A Call Centre agent will contact you within 24 hours to complete your new deal request.

If you don't hear from us within the next 24 hours, please call ********** 4, FREE from a Vodacom cellphone.

I phone them today and the lady I spoke to immediately backtracks and tells me the phones are sold out and that the confirmation email I got for the deals was not a valid confirmation and they dont have the referrence number on their system and that the reference number does not mean anything (Mind boggling, Can you believe the lies !) . According to her an agent had to call me to make it valid. Well that's not what the confirmation email says and I am still waiting for the agent to call me. Maybe the agent decided to take lunch or tea time who was supposed to pick up my reference numbers.

They are very misleading and telling lies to save face as their web system messed up this whole black Friday deal thing. With my evidence that I have in the email and screen grabs from the website this is surely a case for the Consumer Protection Ombudsman as with other complaints where I have also seen them misleading with the confirmation email and then afterwards saying the phones are sold out and the email has no value.

I am very very unhappy with this treatment and this time around after so many years I will surely just change to another service provider where I will hopefully get a better services and prices.

And Dear Vodacom I will be approaching the Consumer Protection Ombudsman about my 2 deals you *****s.

Not going down without a fight.
