Vodacom Online Order Cancellation
In August 2018, I did an online upgrade. After sometime time, my SIM card was delivered in September 2018 and was told that my contract would be migrated as of 1 October 2018. 1 October came and went but no migration was ever done. After contacting Vodacom and getting shunted around from this department to that department, I get told that the migration is set to happen 1 January 2019. What do you think happened when 1 Jan came around? Absolutely nothing. I then went to a Vodacom thinking that maybe the online order was cancelled and would take out a different contract, to which the Store Manger told me that there is an open order on the system under my name. The Vodacom Store Manager and myself both logged a cancellation on the pending open order. There were many phone calls and emails between Vodacom and myself for this cancellation. I then got in contact with Vodacom via Facebook and they assisted further. On 20 February 2019, I got a Facebook Message from Vodacom staring that the open order will be cancelled on 28 February 2019 and I could go and do my upgrade in store thereafter. Much to my surprise, on 1 March 2019, the online order was not cancelled and that my contract had in actual fact been migrated. I have let Vodacom know what has happened, got 1 phone call from them and haven’t heard anything more.
