Vodacom Online never ceases to disappoint!

Almost a year ago, I initiated a contract with Vodacom using their online shop with the assumption that it would be more convenient. To my dismay, it started with me having to go buy my own sim card because they had forgotten to send one, to being charged a connection fee which I shouldn't have been. On asking about this, I was told that this was a "system error". Last week I bought a WiFi router from them. The day it was delivered, I activated the SIM card and immediately checked my invoice only to find that I had again been charged a connection fee. I spent half that afternoon on the phone trying to resolve the issue before the debit order was due, and every person I spoke to had a different solution to the same problem. Eventually, a credit note was generated against my account but the debit order including the connection fee still went off from my account even though I reported it well in advance. Surely, "system error" cannot be the quoted reason a year later? Why was it not resolved a year ago if it was known that the system error is a common occurrence? Also, how is staff so conflicted about the same issue? I was told I had to wait for the incorrect amount to be taken from my account before any action could be taken. You can reverse the charge but you can't prevent it? How does this even make sense? I am thoroughly fed up with Vodacom. And my favourite explanation is "we will credit your account" as if you're doing me a favour. You shouldn't have taken my money in the first place!
